Door bumpers soften the impact of a door or drawer when it is closed against a cabinet. They are commonly available in plastic and in felt. Thicknesses vary from about 1/16 inch to 1/8 inch. I prefer to place them on the back of the cabinet door or drawer, on the corner that hits the cabinet first. While you will take great pride in your work and carefully close the cabinet doors and drawers, your guests and children probably will not. Cabinet door bumpers might not only save your cabinet…but your relationship with your guests and children too!
