- What dimension is the width of the door?
- All door dimensions are recorded width by height (W x H)
- Will the door or drawer front have the dimensions I specify?
- The size you order is the size we manufacture. Please provide door or drawer front sizes, not opening dimensions. We do not add or subtract from any of the measurements.
- What is a “paint grade” material?
A “paint grade” material is sound material with no regard for color match. Putty fill is acceptable.
- What is “select” material?
- Effort is given to minimize natural variations in “select” material.
- What is your return policy for doors and drawer fronts?
- Cabinet doors and drawer fronts are not returnable, but are guaranteed. The Akorn Guarantee is detailed below.
- What is your return policy for corbels?
- Corbels are returnable, but are subject to a $50 or 20% restocking fee, whichever is greater.
- Orders over $750 receive free ground/freight shipping. Orders under $750 ship UPS ground.
- How long will it take to ship my order?
Your order typically ships UPS ground within 12 business days.
- How do I retain the glass in the glass doors?
The glass door section of the website illustrates the use of glass stops which are provided free of charge. Glass is not provided with the doors.
- Are the doors and drawer fronts stained or painted?
The doors and drawer fronts require staining/lacquering or painting.
- Can I order doors that are larger than the dimensions that the website allows?
Special/oversize orders are allowed. The price of the door will still be the cost of the square footage, but a minimum $45 shipping/packing charge will be added to the order to offset "large package" charges that we will incur. This additional $45 shipping/packing charge is assessed on all oversize orders, even orders with free shipping. Special orders typically need to be manually adjusted after order checkout.
- Is there a center rail on doors 48" and above?
Doors 48" and above include a center rail for mechanical stability.
- How do I order more than 8 lines of a door style?
Simply create another order on the same day, and we will correct any shipping charges created by the second order.
- Do you provide door samples?
We sell predefined door sizes as samples. The cost of the door will be deducted from your next order over $200. Simply mention the sample purchase in the comment section during checkout.
The Akorn Guarantee
Akorn doors and drawer fronts are guaranteed against warping and twisting for a period of
one year provided:
- They are evenly finished, front and back, including edges
- They are not subject to abnormal heat
- They are not placed in direct sunlight
- They have not been structurally impaired through hardware placement, mishandling or abuse
- A warp or twist not exceeding 3/16” shall not be considered a defect
- Natural variations in color or grain configurations shall not be considered a defect
- The extent of this warranty is to the replacement or repair of doors and/or drawer fronts in the unfinished state. Our warranty is limited to net invoice of the doors and drawer fronts sold by Akorn. There are no other warranties expressed or implied.
